Save Fresno Unified is a partnership between Fresno Citizens for Good Government and the citizen advisory group who produced the “Choosing our Future” report. "Choosing our Future" is a plan to turn Fresno Unified from one of the worst school districts in the nation to what we hope will become one of the best. Nothing is more important to the future prosperity of our community. Our purpose is to monitor progress of the District and to encourage community support for this ambitious and vitally important turn-around effort.
Bryan Wells was recently appointed Principal of the Ninth Grade Academy at Roosevelt High School. Prior to that, he served as Principal at Terronez Middle School. Bryan came to Fresno Unified because he welcomed the challenge. He is excited to be part of the team that's turning Fresno Unified around and making a difference in children's lives.

Diane Painter is an biology and earth sciences teacher at Bullard High School. Diane sees things going in the right direction. She says there's more stability. Math, science, and special ed teachers are no longer laid off and then rehired every year.

Loretta Aragon-Lopez, Principal at Roosevelt High School, has seen a change in the attitudes of students over the past 3 years. Now, she says, "Students are eager to learn and eager to participate. They take pride in their school and the District. They want so much for themselves and we've got to give that to them. "
